Just a Wii tidbit – hehe
Dec 15
Reading BBC News, as usual in the morning, and one headline in the feed is about the Wii remote straps and Nintendo’s replacement of – link to replacement form. In my honest opinion, people are just stupid, and 95% of all comments from current owners seem to correspond with this. Take for example this quote, actually made me laugh, and apparently the BBC editor working on this story found it amusing as well – made it a quoted side note.
“My wrist straps are fine. Over the years I’ve managed to develop an ability to hold onto my controllers for an extended period of time without them flying out of my hand. My grip works well on plates, glasses and various types of fruit as well.
Chris Brooks, Sittingbourne, UK” – BBC News – Nintendo respond to Wii breakages
I kind of feel sorry for Nintendo on this issue because they have historically been such good sports with their consumers, always putting the consumer first — how it should be. But they should not have to pay the price for people who don’t possess basic motor skills or can’t follow guidelines and safety notices – i.e. Virtual Boy circa 1996, because their products work as promised and compared to other consoles, damn near flawlessly. They are obviously [now] tangled in the console war except not as the warriors (like Sony or Microsoft) – they are the battlefield – all others seem to be just out to make a quick buck.
Here’s a funny site – Wii have a problem – about ‘issues people have’ with the Wii … Sorry to say but all signs point to idiot users.
