Not a new vid but love it

This video from ReactNow for hurricane Katrina relief on YouTube, of Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails performing Non Entity, a previously unreleased song. It was unexpected in concert and I loved it. I originally tried to post this up in june but WordPress doesn't like dealing with flash embeds. just figured it out!

And with this, I can feel the fall... autumn gloom creeping in.

Upcoming shows i want to see

Warehouse Live here in Houston sure does get alot of good acts considering the rather smallish size of the venue. Shows I want to see of note are MAE, on August 30 at 9pm opening acts are The New Amsterdams and Vedera.

Even more important however, is Paul Van Dyk who will be performing on September 13, tickets are $25-40 for VIP doors open at 9pm. I'd really like to go see that.

I didn't get to go to Planet of the Drums in New Orleans, but a friend who went said the air conditioning for the building went out, and the place was an inferno - typical junglist settings, but likely intolerable at the State Palace Theatre. She said the crowd turnout was not too impressive so overall probably OK that I missed it.

On other news, I've started uploading stuff to my DeviantART page after over a year, a few icons I've made for the RKLauncher dock program - standard PNG format icons with alpha transparency, I like them, they fill a need!

Tiesto May 24

DJ Tiesto coming to Houston May 24 2006!! Tickets are $30-$35, can buy pre-sale or 2 hours before the show at the door, venue is Warehouse Live in the downtown warehouse district about three blocks from Minute Maid Park. Doors open at 9pm. - link.

Upcoming shows at Warehouse Live of note, are Brand New on July 02, Rancid on July 11 and far in the future, Fear Factory in November -- Warehouse Live calendar. But I will likely miss those, since I'm already content that I'm going to see Nine Inch Nails again in June. Hopefully I can see Tool later this year.

Also, Planet of the Drums at State Palace Theatre on July 01, 2006. The major lineup is as follows: Dieselboy(Philadelphia), AK1200(Orlando), Dara(New York), MC Messinian(Philadelphia), plus more tba. Tickets are $10 before June 3, $15 before July 1, $20 day of show, available through www.groovetickets.com and all Ticketmaster locations. It's 18+ doors at 10pm.

Lot of good acts I'm seeing coming through this year, so maybe I'll be more social as finances and time permit.
