Chris Novoa's Most Shallow Depths

My Birthday 2007 – new music stuff!

PF Changs, new Rode NT1-A, and new Line 6 Tone Port UX2... Also, some new face scrub and aftershave balm from Origins (more on the face care later). Amazingly, nothing new for Otto.

On my birthday, devin took andrea and me to eat at PF Changs, it was a toss up between there and Los Cucos - Andrea being the coin and PF Changs being tails. I have this strange obsession with their chopsticks, which are not like normal chopsticks where one end is tapered and enlarges on the other end. These are tapered on both ends and somewhat flat in the middle. They are very well balanced and simply different - here you see the obsession with such a simple object set. So I kept a pair.

The bill came out above $100 food was excellent as usual, with getting my usual Chang's Spicy Chicken, Chow Mein (without meat this time) and my favorite, the Nutty Uncle alcoholic beverage (strawberry, coconut, almond liqueur, and an unspecified rum) - Andrea tried a tofu ordeal in which the tofu had a very disturbing texture, but good taste (on the outside - no taste inside)... Devin, the usual - something completely different. It was a fun evening, and now you know what we stuffed ourselves.

if walls could talk…

Sitting here contemplating ... well, everything. No one is on aim, and no one is on myspace, as far as I can tell anyway.

I've been thinking about people I've met throughout the years, acquaintances and such. Maybe about getting in touch, but everyone is so consumed in their own lives, I always wonder whether I'm remembered or not. Probably not - I'd be very surprised to find otherwise. But I know I remember most people, usually later down the line (like now, for example). I guess the less you have to worry about, the more time one gets to be neurotic and overly pensive about nothing useful.

Not much has been going on lately, as usual, but today was sort of crappy.

This morning, after getting dressed for work, the most annoying thing happened as I proceeded to arm myself with my usual devices and pocket stuffers. Last item in my pocket, my [outdated] Sony Clie -- slipped out of my hand, somersaulted a few times, leaped off the corner of my desk and landed face down on the hard cold concrete floor of my room. Needless to say, it did not survive the crash.

I finished a new song. A song of the sleep, wherein I melodically complain about not being able to sleep... a battle against insomnia though being tired. It's actually the first new song I've completed and recorded in a little over a year.

I guess I should assemble a website for my music, considering that I have about 45 tracks recorded to go on albums dating back to 1998... but eh I dunno... it's more of a private hobby.. sort of a musical journal spanning time and emotions.

I'm getting new anti-sway bars for Otto on monday, that should be fun... Supposedly it makes alot of difference in the handling and cornering of the 240. We shall see. At the same time I will replace the left lower control arm, which is screwed up and the bushing had to be welded on rather than seated when I was having my struts changed in the front, also to be changed is the inner tie rods .. all of this at once since it involves the same parts to be removed.

that's about it for now. Work's alright... once again, the driving around town every day is killer.
